Final Thoughts for 2018

Congratulations to PA 158th House Representative-Elect Chris Sappey!

The 2018 General Election on November 6th resulted in huge wins locally for Democrats: Both the PA House 158th and US 6th Congressional District offices went to Democrats for the first time in 150+ years. Congratulations to our new Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan and PA House Rep Christina Sappey!

Rep-Elect Sappey thanking her supporters and volunteers in December

The Bradford Democrats are grateful for all of the volunteers who canvassed, called, sent postcards, or donated and those who voted for these two outstanding women as well as for Governor Tom Wolf and Senator Bob Casey, who were easily re-elected.

The next Primary Election is just around the corner – May 21, 2019. Beginning February 19th, our committee people and volunteers will be knocking on doors to collect your signatures to get Democrats running for Chester County Commissioner, County Row Offices, judicial seats and township and school board offices on the May ballot. We are still looking for candidates for East & West Bradford Supervisors and WCASD and DASD School Board seats. Contact us at info@bradforddesm.org for more information.

Stay tuned for information about our  Bradford Dems Annual Campaign Kick-off being planned for late February. This is your first chance to meet and talk with the candidates who will be in the ballot in 2019.

Get Ready, Get Set, VOTE!

It’s a simple message – this election will decide if we get the representation in Harrisburg and Washington that we deserve. It’s not about Trump, but which party will work hard for the policies and issues that you care most about: we’ve heard from you that Healthcare, Gun Violence, Education and the Environment have been the most important as we’ve canvassed this fall for Christina Sappey (PA House 158th), Chrissy Houlahan (US 6th Congressional), Senator Bob Casey, and Governor Wolf with Lt. Governor candidate John Fetterman. While Republicans talk about devisive  issues such as immigration and tout a tax bill where 83% of the benefits went to the top 1%, Democrats are pushing for change that actually matters to us in Chester County.

Please join us on Election Day in voting, and if you would like to volunteer to poll watch or greet, contact your local committee person. Polls are open 7am to 8pm. We want and need your straight Democratic Party Vote. Stop by and say Hi!

think global. act local.
